Bedré Fine Chocolate Manufacturing Facility
Chickasaw Nation of Oklahoma
INTERACTIVE EDUCATION CHOCOLATE MAKING EXPERIENCE
This one story manufacturing and retail facility was designed to display the process of making Bedré chocolate to visitors. The retail area showcases all the various chocolate products made at the facility while also focusing on the manufacturing area with tall full-height glass walls separating the two areas. A children’s educational area is also provided for viewing the chocolate making experience with audio/visual and hands-on chocolate making activities.
Bedré had to be a welcoming and inviting place for visitors to compliment the Welcome center building across from it, also sharing similar building design and materials. The factory remains open to the public to visit, with an interactive education experience for children to learn the chocolate manufacturing process.
The establishment of the Bedré fine chocolate facility marked a monumental achievement for the Chickasaw Nation, distinguishing them as the sole Native American tribe to craft their own brand of exquisite chocolates. Their products are a source of immense pride, with cultural passion infused into each delectable creation.
